Students from Graphic Design Production visited Wagamon Printing in Huntsville to get an up close look at the offset printing process. Before the visit the class reviewed topics including spot and process color, overprinting, registration, separations, dot/ink gain, and trapping. Students then designed their own personal business card utilizing only two solid inks. Proprietor Jack Wagamon was generous enough to run the job during the visit, taking time to explain the process and fielding questions about press operation, ink, die cutting and trimming.
